When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, he gave them a model that is still used weekly in worship today in churches around the world. Taking a closer look at the content of the Lord's Prayer, we can all gain new insight on what Jesus was trying to teach them (and us) and how we can all go deeper in our prayer life. Join us for this message series during the month of February.
Why, God? That’s a question everyone wrestles with at some point in their lives. When bad things happen, we cry out to God for answers. Beginning January 6, we’ll look at the story of Job and his experience of tragedy to help us understand how God is at work in our lives and in the world…and to find hope in the darkness. Please come worship with us on Sundays in January.
As we travel through life, there are inevitably times when we will find ourselves having to 'trust God farther than we can see God.' On Wednesdays through February 27, we will explore how various folks from Old Testament (like Noah, Moses, Joshua, David, Isaiah, and Abraham) were challenged to trust God in different ways as they sought to live into the call God had placed on their lives and how their example can be an inspiration for us in our spiritual journey today.
