  • Won't You Be My Neighbor?

When Jesus was asked to sum up all of God’s teaching into one commandment, he said to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves. What would happen if everyone took this commandment seriously? Won't You Be My Neighbor?

When Jesus was asked to sum up all of God’s teaching into one commandment, he said to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves.  What would happen if everyone took this commandment seriously?  As the beloved television personality, Mr. Fred Rogers says, being a neighbor is an invitation to show someone that they are loved and capable of loving.  Who are your neighbors?  Do you know them?  Do you love them?  Loving your neighbor can change everything.

Together: For the Sake of the World

You may be familiar with the hymn refrain "I am the church. You are the church. We are the church together. All who follow Jesus, all around the world, yes, we're the church together." It's a reminder that the church is not the property or the building, but the people. And a particular people that exist for the sake of the world. Don't miss worship this summer as we dig deeper into the letter to the Ephesians. It's a powerful little book in the New Testament that calls the church to unity, identifies the gifts given to members, and challenges us to live as new people who bless, encourage, and minister to others.
