Kids Count in Alachua County is recruiting volunteers to help assist twenty K-3 students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-6:00 and Fridays from 12-4:30.  Please consider sharing time with students who need extra support in school and life.  We work with 20 students in grades K-3 and follow the Alachua County School Schedule so our first day will be Tuesday, August 23.

The goal is to provide immediate shelter while equipping families with the knowledge and resources they need to sustain their independence in a home of their own.


The mission of IHN of Greater Gainesville is to mobilize community resources and local congregations to provide, through compassionate care, shelter, meals and case management to homeless Children & their families.  IHN believes no family should have to spend the night on the streets.  IHN unites and coordinates the collaborative efforts of volunteers from all faiths to house, feed, and transport homeless families. The families are housed in area houses of worship.
