"To the ends of the earth."

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.  Acts 1:8

Through your mission giving at Trinity, you are supporting (a) The Russian Methodist Seminary in Moscow, which sends Methodist ministers across Russia, (b) the Baltic Theological Seminary in Estonia, (c) West Africa Theological Seminary in Nigeria, which is the epicenter of the greatest growth of Christianity since the first two centuries of our era. You are drilling wells in Central America, providing medical care in the Dominican Republic, and providing through UMCOR - United Methodist Committee on Relief - aid to people in northern Japan and whenever and wherever disaster strikes. Many of you are supporting children through World Vision. Through George and Carol Steele, you have had a witness in Kazakhstan, which is nearly at the end of the earth. Your giving to our general ministry fund goes, in part, to our 13 United Methodist Seminaries whose ministries extend around the globe. Asbury Theological Seminary has graduates in 22 of the 24 time zones, and through the chaplaincy, probably all 24 time zones some of the time!

To the ends of the earth! Thanks be to God. But there is still more to do, and, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we will discover it and put our hands and feet to it, won't we!
