Rev. Catherine Fluck Price & Rev. Steve Price

Co-Senior Pastors

Catherine and Steve have served as co-senior pastors since July 2016. They love being in ministry with this Spirit-led, big-hearted congregation. Since moving (back) to Gainesville, they have enjoyed getting to know the area and, of course, and all things Gator sports! Their pastoral ministry together began in 1997, when they were appointed as founding co-pastors of Harvest United Methodist Church in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. They spent 19 years there growing that community of faith. Their launch into a life of marriage and ministry began at Furman University in Greenville, SC, where they were college sweethearts. They have been married since 1986 and love every opportunity to spend time with their adult kids, Shelby and her husband, Mike, and Sid and his wife, Menandie. The only remaining child at home is their rescue goldendoodle Teddy, who gets a whole lot of love and attention.

Catherine’s appointment to Trinity was a homecoming to the church that played a significant role in forming her as a follower of Christ. Her call to preach caught her by surprise when she was in college and has never let go. She is passionate about people growing in their faith and having transformational encounters with Jesus. She also loves extending hospitality and welcoming people into her home (and she bakes a pretty fantastic apple cake). She has a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology (Emory University) and is an ordained elder in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. She loves long walks on the beach, vacations at the family “farm” in North Carolina, and starting her day with her journal, Bible, and a good cup of hot tea.

Steve’s journey to ordained ministry is a little less direct than Catherine’s, involving a ten-year wrestling match with God. Along the way, he was a tennis professional and picked up an extra degree in English Education while trying to compromise with God on fulfilling his call to be a pastor. His passion for ministry is fueled by a desire to see people become the very best versions of themselves, as God created them to be. He has a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and is also an ordained elder in the Florida Conference. He still loves to play tennis, go for long runs, and enjoys good coffee and all things Furman (Go Paladins!)
