This Week's Assignment, etc.
Cash Flow Planning will teach us step-by-step how to put together a zero-based monthly budget and walk through how to complete all of the financial management forms with samples included.

This was an excellent -- but challenging -- lesson. This would be a great one to listen to on audio tape to reinforce all the great information Dave offers on managing the income and outflow of $$$ each month.

This Week's Homework:

  1. Read Chapters 19 and 21 in Financial Peace Revisited
  2. IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, complete the Basic Quickie Budget on page 19
  3. Complete Sheet 5, the monthly cash flow plan. MAKE COPIES of these pages so that can have fresh sheets to use each month (or print them out from the CD included in your kit, or use the Excel files offerred here)
  4. If you get more than one paycheck per month, transfer the numbers from your complete Cash Flow Plan to the Allocated Spending Plan (Sheet 7). This is the sheet that helps you plan and direct the flow of cash throughout the month. Remember, do Sheets 5 and 7 for next month ONLY

This week the rubber really meets the road! It's VERY important to start putting into practice the principles we're learning from the tapes and book. If you have trouble completing these forms, send me an Email message with your questions or problems and I'll try to help.
