| | Baptism is one of the two sacraments in the United Methodist Church. Because this is a sacred event, all parents are asked to attend a Baptism Orientation prior to the baptism of their child. Parents learn about the history and the meaning of baptism, the significance of the water, how baptism is celebrated, and the roles of the parents and the church. Read more about baptism on the United Methodist website here. Baptism Orientations for infants through fifth graders are held once a month at the CMT office at 11:15 am. This is a time to schedule your child's baptism, discuss the meaning and history of the sacrament and go over any questions you may have about your child's special day. Make your reservations today by calling the Children's Ministries Office, 416-3045 or emailing
