11:00 Family Traditions Service & Sunday School - Our 11:00 service is designed specifically to educate children about the hymns, creeds, prayers and practices of traditional worship. At this service, families are encouraged to worship together during the first 15 minutes of worship. With this special time, we hope to familiarize children with the traditional hymns and prayers of the church such as How Great Thou Art and The Lord’s Prayer.
Following a Children’s Chat about such aspects of worship, the elementary age children are invited to either stay in worship with their families or participate in a rotation model of Sunday School. During this time, the children take part in music, drama, cooking, crafts and other Christ centered lessons. Traditional Sunday School is offered for infants– kindergarteners. Children are also welcome to attend worship with a Sunday School Shepherd if their families are in Sunday School at this time.
Check-in for this program is located in the front of the Worship Center.
Family Acolyting - This is a special opportunity for families to be involved in worship together. Acolytes light and extinguish the candles before and after the service. They also assist with baptism ceremonies by lighting a candle or holding the baptismal bowl. Please consider acolyting together with your family at any of our 3 services in the Worship Center. Sign ups for acolytes are located in the Children’s Ministries office in Room 108.
