What to Expect

Visiting a large church for the first time can be pretty intimidating. And as you have seen if you've clicked through this website, we have a lot of activities and programs at Trinity. But we hope that you will find Trinity to be a place where you can relax, meet new friends, and find many different opportunies that will help you continue on your spiritual journey. We want you to feel at home.

ImageWhen you arrive at Trinity for either our 8:15, 9:40 or 11:00 am Worship Services on Sundays, or our 6:35pm Friday night service, you´ll park in any parking lot (the best parking spaces are for our first time visitors) and follow the signs to our large Worship Center. (Click here to download a map of the campus)

At the front door, there are maps and Visitor’s Guides for you to start to familiarize yourself with Trinity. Should you have any questions, you may go to the “Welcome Center” located at the back of the Worship Center, next to the coffee window (follow the delicious smell and then turn right).

If you arrive early, you´re welcome to have a cup of Fair Trade Coffee or Tea (self-serve near the Welcome Center, go to the large “Welcome Center" sign hanging from the ceiling and turn left-or just follow the bleary-eyed crowd looking their Fair Trade early-morning-pick-me-up).

ImageKids and Youth
If you have kids, you can stop by the Children Ministries Reception Desk located in the Education Building (just next to the Worship Center) and someone will help you register your children.

We´ve developed a good security system so you´ll know your kids are safe and well cared for. If your kids are shy, they´re welcome to attend the adult service with you, but most kids really enjoy the kids´ programs for infants through 5th grade.

Our Middle School and High School students meet on Sunday mornings from 9:40 am in the Youth Building.

Attire
Dress however you feel most comfortable. Some people wear ties and coats, some wear what is dryly known as “office casual”, others wear shorts and sandals.

The Services

When you come in the Worship Center, you´ll be given a copy of " The Bulletin" which has the week´s announcements and an agenda for the day´s service.

Each of our services has a slightly different feel.

  • Our 8:15 am Service is a time of prayer and praise. The music is lead by our Chalice Choir.
  • Our 9:40 am Service is higher energy and the music is provided by our Sonlight Youth Choir and Band.
  • Our 11:00 am Service is called our family Traditions Service and seeks to reach out to all generations. The music is led by our Chancel Choir. Because the emphasis of this service is what we refer to as “intergenerational” worship, we encourage parents and children to attend the beginning of this service together.

In the middle of the service, we have what we call the “Children’s Chat.” This is where we have the children come to the front of the church and one of our pastors gives a short Bible message just for them. They then go as a group to the Education Building, where they enjoy art, crafts, a snack, music, and other fun stuff. Parents pick them up from the Education Building after the service.

  • Our 6:35 Friday Night Contemporary Service is held in the Chapel. All ages are invited and children’s programming is provided for preschool ages. There is great preaching by David Allen and others, and awesome music provided by the 635 worship band led by Travis Clements.

We also offer a service at 9:40 in Trinity’s Chapel for those who prefer a more intimate worship experience.

During the service, you´ll notice a registration pad being passed down your row, which is an easy way for us to get better acquainted; you can ask for any kind of information or assistance using the pad.

After the service, you´ll pick up your kids from their classrooms, and then we hope you´ll stay around, meet some people and enjoy some coffee. Church is about God and worship, but it´s also about community and friendship, so we hope people really experience warmth and friendliness at Trinity.

Once a quarter, we offer the Connection Café in the Worship Center, a chance for those who want to know more about Trinity to meet with various program leaders in the church to answer any questions you may have. This is a great way to take a first step towards getting more involved.
