Trinity Town Center, our midweek evening program, offers more than just a great dinner, a variety of interesting classes and stellar childcare. As we share a family style meal and study everything from manners to prayer, we’re reminded that we’re all part of Christ’s family. Come and join us. There is always room at the table. TTC sessions are offered twice in the fall and twice in the spring. Classes for all ages are offered. Childcare is provided for children ages birth– kindergarten.
Stirring Up A Love for the Old Testament - Dan Johnson
Surprisingly, I have never before led a class at Trinity on my own book entitled Neglected Treasure, Rediscovering the Old Testament. But having recently done that in Nigeria, I have decided to offer this class. My little book, available at the Trinity bookstore, is a short introduction to the Old Testament, helping to navigate through some of the challenging difficulties while also presenting some of the magnificent gems held within its pages.

This class is for people seeking understanding in this world as well as those looking to find ways to get involved at Trinity.
“Conflict Happens: So How Do I Handle It?” - Linda Hilderbrand, Professional Coach
Using an interactive format, students will gain not only an understanding of what conflict is in both its positive and negative forms but also conflict resolution skills and applications. An inventory measuring conflict resolution styles will be available to help participants learn more about their own natural tendencies when dealing with conflict. Books for this course are available at the Trinity Bookstore. **This class will be offered in three 90-minute sessions.
The Hole in Our Gospel “What Does God Expect of Us?” - Brian Myers & Carol Lewis
The Hole in Our Gospel challenges Christians to expand their personal and transforming faith into a public and transforming relationship with the poor. “The gospel, or good news, proclaimed by Jesus was so much more than a private transaction between God and us. It was a vision of a changed people challenging and changing the prevailing values and practices of our world,” Richard Stearns writes. This six-week quest based on the book, The Hole in Our Gospel, will focus on topics like: Where is the Hole?, Finding the Hole in Me, What’s Wrong with this Picture, Putting the American Dream to Death, Uncovering the Hole in the Church, and Repairing the Hole in the World.
Life After Alpha: Challenging Lifestyles - Jim Burns
Based on Christ’s Sermon on the Mount, this course will utilize Nicky Gumbel’s DVD entitled Challenging Lifestyles. Offered in six sessions, the course will tackle subjects such as, “How to Deal with Criticism,” “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living,” “How to Respond to Challenging Words,” “How to Make Big Decisions,” and “How to Build a Secure Future.”

We’ll use the ACTS acronym as a model (A-Acknowledge, C-Confess, T-Thank, S-Supplicate) and watch some popular movie clips for practical prayer examples (PG-13). You don’t need to watch the movies before the class, but you may want to rent them after! For those who have taken the class before, I do plan to use different movies – except for a few instructor favorites...

SHAPE is an acronym that stands for Spiritual Gifts, Heartfelt Passion, Abilities, Personality, and Experience. If you’re tired of not knowing your purpose, spiritual gifts and place of service in the church, then here’s the course for you. This course is four weeks and the sessions are an hour long. SHAPE gives you the tools regarding what your gift mix is and where you could apply your gifts in the church.
